Im growing my natural nails out and i just got this in the mail! Regular polish with hardening base lasts about 3 days before it peels 😂

I like to file down on the nail. Make sure you’re straight and go straight down. It’s not so hard on your nails and it files off better.

If you don’t use peel base do you have to rough up the builder gel before Applying dip base

Clipping nails can cause damage. And I would recommend a glass or crystal file.

Aren’t you meant to wipe the Activator ‘before’ putting the brush back in the bottle for the next nail application, so you don’t accidentally put any loose dip powder (off your nails) in the activator bottle, as it will harden in the bottle.?

I can’t do this because my natural nails are square/squoval with MAJOR c-Curve they’d be too difficult to “change” with a file

I used those same decals. To remove I just soaked my nails in polish remover. They decal slid off. It took absolutely no effort. Note: I didn’t use any kind of base or top coat.

I am so new when it comes to nails but what do you mean towards the end when you say you are going to do a quick fill? Like you are use a prime coat right?

Do you have a video of the removal process? I'm looking to do this process/technique so that I can file down to the builder gel, fill, and then re-dip a new color (trying to cut down on acetone exposure).

My nails have always been a hot mess but I have managed to grow them out a bit and I am in the process of learning how to do gel nails myself. This builder gel is EXACTLY what I needed to see and how to apply it for good results. Thanks so much for your advice and step by step tutorial. You have made an older woman very happy.
